A new Nationalist Government will give greater autonomy to MCAST so that the College is less dependent on Government and can continue working with greater flexibility and a long-term vision. It will also ensure that the education system focuses more on the needs of students so that they have the best opportunities to succeed in their studies and in their professional lives. So that no one is left behind.

This was the message delivered by the Partit Nazzjonalista Leader Alex Borg during a visit among MCAST students in Paola where he was welcomed by the College administration and met with several educators and students.

During the visit, the importance of vocational and technical education was discussed, as well as the crucial role MCAST plays in preparing young people for the world of work and for the country’s economic needs.

The PN Leader also recalled how MCAST was established by a Nationalist Government as part of the long-term vision the Partit Nazzjonalista has always had in favour of modern and inclusive education, linked to the real needs of society and the economy.

The visit also served as an opportunity to emphasise the need for educational institutions to be given the tools and resources they require to continue offering quality education and new opportunities for Maltese and Gozitan young people.

During the visit, Alex Borg was accompanied by PN candidates for the general election of 30 May Bernice Bonello, Stefan Caruana, Marilena Gauci, Joseph Grech and Justin Schembri.
