We must ensure that the quality of our education service continues to improve and that it responds to the needs of today’s students and educators.
During a visit to Sir M. A. Refalo Sixth Form in Gozo at the start of the new academic year, Partit Nazzjonalista Leader Alex Borg met the Head of School and the school’s management, as well as teachers, students and staff, and heard directly from them about the challenges and difficulties they are facing — both the constantly evolving challenges faced by educators and those experienced by students.
The importance of ensuring that students receive the support they need to continue progressing in their studies was also discussed, while educators must be given the conditions they need to carry out their work to the best of their ability.
Partit Nazzjonalista Leader Alex Borg praised the dedication of the teachers working at the institution and wished both educators and students a successful year.
He toured the various departments of the school, situated in the heart of Victoria, and spoke to staff in each section.
The visit formed part of a series of visits being carried out by the Partit Nazzjonalista Leader and party officials to educational institutions as the new academic year gets under way.
Earlier today, Partit Nazzjonalista Deputy Leader Alex Perici Calascione and Shadow Minister for Education and Citizenship Jerome Caruana Cilia also visited the Higher Secondary School in Naxxar.
