Spokesperson for the Film Industry

Economist Marilena Gauci, a graduate in Economics with a Masters in Behavioural Economics and experience in national and European funds, was appointed Vice President of the Malta Entertainment Industry Association (MEIA), where she supports the President and contributes to building a more robust industry and creating equal opportunities for all artists and creatives.

Her passion for the arts and creativity began at a young age through experiences in theatre, music, and television. Before this role, she served on the Executive Committee as Head of PR and Communications, consistently working to promote fair and sustainable environments for Malta’s creative industry.

Marilena also served as an economist with the Malta Chamber, specializing in economic and social policy, as well as within the Central Bank, focusing on economic stability.
