PN delegation meets Hungarian Prime Minister in Budapest

During the meetings, Charles Bonello invited representatives of TISZA party led by Hungarian PM Péter Magyar to visit Malta.

The Partit Nazzjonalista continues to strengthen its international relations through its participation in an EPP delegation visiting Hungary

Partit Nazzjonalista Secretary General Charles Bonello and International Secretary Beppe Galea took part in a series of meetings organised by the European People’s Party (EPP) in Budapest during an official visit to Hungary by an EPP delegation. The delegation was led by EPP Secretary General Dolors Montserrat.

During the visit, the delegation met the Prime Minister of Hungary and President of TISZA, Péter Magyar. A number of meetings were also held with party officials and elected representatives.

TISZA secured a historic victory in Hungary’s general election last April, winning more than 53% of the vote.

During the meetings, Charles Bonello invited representatives of TISZA to visit Malta.

“The Partit Nazzjonalista stands ready to share its experience and contribute to the development of strong internal structures within TISZA as a relatively new political party. A visit to Malta could lead to a concrete exchange of ideas and experiences between the two parties,” Charles Bonello said.

The visit to Budapest was linked to TISZA’s application to join the European People’s Party. The meetings confirmed the close relationship between TISZA and the EPP, as well as their shared commitment to greater cooperation within Europe’s centre-right political family.

The Partit Nazzjonalista’s next engagement within the EPP will be at the Political Assembly to be held in Toulouse later this month. During the meeting, PN International Secretary Beppe Galea will brief the EPP family on the latest political developments in Malta.
