About the MP
Shadow Minister for Climate Change and the Regeneration of the Grand Harbour
Julie Zahra was first elected as a Member of Parliament representing the Nationalist Party in 2022, where she was also appointed Shadow Minister for Arts, Culture, the Film Industry, and National Heritage.
In 2025, while retaining responsibility for Arts and Culture, she was also entrusted with the Creative Industries portfolio. She holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology as well as in music and is a qualified teacher. She is currently continuing her studies through a tertiary course in mediation.
