Minister Clyde Caruana says businesses must put a stop to population growth

Having driven up Malta’s population by more than 100,000, first as Chairperson of JobsPlus and now as Minister, today Clyde Caruana is pointing his finger at businesses, saying that if we do not want the population to reach 800,000, they must be the ones to stop it.

Now that Robert Abela’s Government appears set to tighten its belt considerably, Clyde Caruana is preparing to blame everyone except himself and his Government.

Having opened the doors wide for businesses to access what he now calls cheap labour, Clyde Caruana now wants them to change their business model, as though they were the ones who created this situation.

When you have created a problem that has spiralled so far out of your control that you have no idea how to resolve it, the easiest thing to do is blame someone else.
