During a live broadcast earlier today from the Saluting Battery at the Upper Barrakka Gardens in Valletta, in the presence of all PN candidates, PN Leader Alex Borg said that the Partit Nazzjonalista is presenting itself before the people with a team of candidates who bring both energy and experience, and who are all prepared and determined to give our country A Fresh Start.
Alex Borg said that the election of 30 May is an early election which was called purely so that Abela and those around him could safeguard their own power.
Today, the people are yearning for a different government – a government that protects the national interest; a government that leads Malta in the right direction; a government that safeguards families, the elderly, young people, workers, and all Maltese and Gozitans.
The people no longer want the politics of blue or red. The people are calling out for the politics of the Maltese flag – white and red – a politics that unites us.
From the very first day of the electoral campaign, the Partit Nazzjonalista began presenting its proposals, and it is determined, from government, to deliver on what it promises. It is determined to give young people a Malta where they can work, live and raise a family, and where they can become homeowners. A country where the elderly live in dignity, where families are at the centre of politics, where workers truly work to live and not the other way round, and where businesses have ever greater opportunities.
“We want to see a better Malta and Gozo. And we are working together towards this goal, because our hearts beat for our country and for its people. We are not perfect, but we are determined to give our country the Fresh Start it so badly needs. This is your moment to give Malta and Gozo A Fresh Start,” concluded Alex Borg in his message during the presentation of the PN candidates.
For the general election on Saturday 30 May, the Partit Nazzjonalista is presenting a total of 65 candidates, 42 of whom will be contesting on two districts.
