George Vital Zammit is a lecturer in the Department of Public Policy and Governance at the University of Malta. Before entering academia, he worked in human resources in the private sector, and later as an officer in the Public Service. He served in a number of ministries and was Assistant Director at the Cabinet Office within the Office of the Prime Minister.

Dr Zammit graduated in Management and Diplomatic Studies, and obtained a doctorate in Political Studies from the University of Sheffield. He teaches subjects related to governance, administration, Parliament, and the regulatory framework. He has served as Head of Department and Vice-Dean of the Faculty.

He follows the American Presidency closely and, in 2019, was a Fulbright Scholar at Rutgers University in New Jersey. Over the years, he has been invited on various media platforms as a commentator on issues related to Maltese and foreign politics.
