The Partit Nazzjonalista congratulates Staff Sergeant Lisa Micallef of the Armed Forces of Malta’s Air Wing, who has become the first Maltese person to earn the Master Technician Award – a prestigious distinction awarded by FlightSafety International in Wichita, Kansas, in the United States.
This recognition, achieved following intensive and specialised training in the maintenance, avionics, safety and operation of King Air B200 aircraft, is further testament to the skills, professionalism and talent of Maltese workers in the aviation sector.
Lisa Micallef’s success should fill us with pride, but it should also encourage us to look ahead. Malta has people who are capable of competing and earning recognition at the highest international levels. What they need are more opportunities, more specialised training and greater investment to enable them to advance their careers here in Malta.
